Who Are the Best Dressed Stars On TV and in Movies? See the 2015 Costume Designers Guild Awards Winners

One of the reasons we love our favorite films and television shows is because of the amazing costuming—and the top designers were honored at the 17th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards last night. Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the ceremony was hosted by Emmy Rossum, and stars including January Jones, Mindy Kaling, Naomi Watts, Laura Dern, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Michelle Monaghan came out celebrate the costumers behind Hollywood’s hottest entertainment.

“Getting to recognize the costume designers is exciting because they’re such incredibly creative parts of telling a story,” Rossum tells InStyle. “It’s so fun for me to get to tip my hat to them and to honor them because usually we’re the stars, and tonight, they get to be the stars. It’s really, really cool.”

And as for Mad Men star Kiernan Shipka, she was rooting for her show’s own costumer Janie Bryant, who was nominated in the Outstanding Period/Fantasy Television Series category. “It’s so cool because Janie and her team are excellent and brilliant people. I love them very much just as human beings,” Shipka shares. “They’re fantastic and also just so talented and brilliant at what they do. The amount of hard work that they put into their job is insane.”
