Prince is set to make history on this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live! In true form, the artist will do things his own way—instead of two separate performances (which is typical for SNL), Prince will play an uninterrupted 8-minute jam in the middle of the show accompanied by his band 3rd Eye Girl.
In addition to Prince’s unprecedented performance, comedian Chris Rock will host the the show for the first time in 18 years.With 2014 marking the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain’s release, Prince is still as hot as ever. When it comes to his style, there’s never any chance of mistaking the legend that is Prince. Fondly known as “The Purple One” (among other nicknames), largely due to the amount of violet-hued items in his wardrobe, the color has become a signature for the artist.
