Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth Crashed Woody Harrelson’s ‘SNL’ Monologue

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1 opens in theaters on Thursday (finally!) but if you caught Saturday Night Live this weekend, then you already got to see some of the cast in action. Woody Harrelson—who plays Haymitch Abernathy in the saga—hosted SNL and was joined on stage during his opening monologue by his cast mates Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.

The actor noted that Saturday night’s episode was his return to hosting the show since his last stint in 1989. That same year, Harrelson pointed out, is the very title of Taylor Swift‘s new smash album. “With all due respect to Miss Swift, I think I may know a little more about 1989 than she does,” he said. Cue: a guitar and Harrelson’s own ditty about the year, “even if the memories are a little fuzzy.”

Harrelson was soon joined by his Hunger Games co-stars, who he jokingly mistook for 40-somethings (Hutcherson and Hemsworth), “the real Taylor Swift” and/or Elizabeth Banks (actually just J.Law). The host encouraged his friends to help him sing along, but Lawrence opted out because, as she put it, “I don’t think anyone wants to hear me sing…when I sing I sound like a deer that’s been caught in a fence.” (If you caught her Letterman appearance earlier in the week, you know it’s only a slight exaggeration.)

Watch the entire hilarious monologue below, including Lawrence’s flub—and her equally quick and charming recovery—here:
