There was a whirlwind of style at last night’s People’s Choice Awards, where stars hit the red carpet in a mashup of styles. But one thing stood out: all the pants! Whether in the form of a jumpsuit or paired with a blazer, some of Hollywood’s biggest names were quick to put them on, and rock them they did.
From Ellen Pompeo in a dreamy blush-hued Elie Saab ensemble to Melissa McCarthy in a sleek navy suit with leather piping of her own design, and Portia de Rossi in an electric blue Zuhair Murad number with sheer cutouts, we loved them all. One of the looks that really stood out? Bella Thorne in a perfectly tailored set by Giorgio Armani that showed off just a peek of her abdomen.

“I was a little like, does it look good on me? Am I going to stand out? I’m wearing all black,” Thorne tells InStyle of her suit. “Sometimes that doesn’t really work on red carpets—especially depending on the color of the carpet. It could be black carpet, and then you won’t see me!” In the end, the young actress was completely happy with her choice. “I love the outfit,” Thorne reveals. “This is closer to my style because I think people see me on carpet and think I’m a girly girl. But in my daily life I just wear jeans, T-shirt and Converse.”
