We’ve have long been obsessed with Zooey Deschanel’s nails on the red carpet, so when it came time for the New Girl star to choose a color for our August cover shoot, she did not disappoint. “I showed Zooey my entire collection and she picked out Jin Soon Nail Lacquer in Kookie White ($18, jinsoon.com),” says manicurist Jin Soon Choi.
“It’s a wearable shade that is totally unique, which made me like her even more that I already did!”Before swiping on the goes-with-everything neutral color, Choi smoothed Deschanel’s hands with Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Smoothing Hand Creme ($55, esteelauder.com) and chit chatted with the star about her love of New York City (she wants an apartment there), her vegetable garden, and horseback riding (her fave hobby). “She was very entertaining and just one of the gals on set.”
