Jay Z Marks His Anniversary with Throwback Footage from His Wedding to Beyoncé

Jay Z shared the ultimate throwback Thursday post to mark seven years of marriage to Beyoncé. Yesterday, the rapper took to Instagram to unveil previously unseen footage from the couple’s wedding day in 2008.

Although snippets of the couple’s big day appeared in videos for their On the Run tour, this is the most intimate look at the nuptials we’ve seen.

And it looks every inch as extravagant and romantic as we’ve come to expect from the music power couple. The clip shows Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, sliding a ring onto Beyoncé’s finger before they walk down the aisle together. We also get a glimpse at the stunning winter wonderland theme of the wedding, where icicles hung from the ceiling.

To celebrate seven great years, the pair are currently vacationing in Hawaii. Here’s to many more anniversaries to come for the duo!
