Leave it to Olivia Palermo to start trends rather than follow them on her wedding day! The style star tied the knot with her love Johannes Huebl in an intimate ceremony in Bedford, New York, earlier this year, and Palermo looked stunning in a three-piece Carolina Herrera ensemble that included tailored shorts, a full tulle skirt, and a cream cashmere sweater.

Quite possibly the most anticipated nuptials of the year, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally made it official during a small ceremony in Correns, France. 4. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka — Sept. 5
The duo, who had been dating for 10 years and have two children together, said “I do” in Italy in a super secret ceremony this fall. For the special day, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka both wore Tom Ford, and legendary singer Elton John gave a special performance at their reception.

5. Lauren Conrad and William Tell — Sept. 13
Lauren Conrad was the picture of perfection on her dreamy wedding day in Santa Ynez, California. When longtime bachelor George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin (now Clooney) in Venice, Italy, in front of a star-studded group of family and friends, we couldn’t stop talking about it. Solange and longtime beau Alan Ferguson said “I do” at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, where everyone—including the singer’s sister, Beyonce—was clad in all-white. 8. Elton John and David Furnish — Dec. 21
Elton John and his longtime partner David Furnish tied the knot in celeb-filled affair where their sons Zachary, 3, and Elijah, 23 months, served as ring bearers. The ceremony took place exactly nine years after the duo entered a civil partnership together, and was attended by David and Victoria Beckham, Ed Sheeran, Elizabeth Hurley, and Hugh Grant.
