At BCBG Max Azria, Lubov Azria cozied up to the bohemian aesthetic and gave it an arctic twist by showing embroidered cocoon coats (above, left). Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters of Creatures of the Wind hinted at the glams side of the decade with sleek white suit separates coupled with a billowy pink-and-silver blouse. Designer Rebecca Minkoff was a little more literal in her approach, taking inspiration from Patti Smith’s memoir Just Kids on the New York scene in the late ’60s and ’70s with chiffon maxi dresses, guitar strap-embroideries, and feather pendants (right).
Jill Stuart essentially cemented the ’70s uniform—a turtleneck knit, a patent leather mini, and a sleek double-breasted coat (above, left). And finally, Frame Denim took major inspo from the decade, branching out into corduroy and sprinkling in major flares (right).
