Big news for Burberry today! The iconic British luxury brand is receiving one of Beverly Hills’ highest honors—the coveted Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award.
This on-going award was inaugurated in 2003 by the City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee to honor individuals and brands for their contributions to the world of fashion, design and costume.
Previous recipients of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award include Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Gianni and Donnatella Versace, Manolo Blahnik, and world-renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, who will present this year’s award to Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer.RELATED: The Burberry Blanket Poncho Strikes Again! Similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, inductees of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style are presented with a bronzed plaque that is embedded into the sidewalks of Rodeo Drive, one of the most famous shopping destinations in the world. Burberry’s plaque will feature the signature of the company’s original founder, Thomas Burberry, as well as the brand’s core values, “Protect. Explore. Inspire.”
Burberry’s induction into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style is coming just in time for the opening of the luxury label’s first three-story flagship store on Rodeo Drive, which is now open to the public and ready to help you finish off your holiday checklist!
