The last thing you want to think about on a frantic morning is a complicated hairstyle. Instead of skipping a chic ’do in favor of fitting in a morning workout or rushing into the office, try one of these three celeb-inspired hairstyles, which take less time to perfect than brewing up a (much needed) pot of coffee.
Textured Ponytail
To create Chrissy Teigen’s messy ponytail from the Golden Globes, hairstylist Giannandrea started by blow drying her hair and creating loose waves with a 1-inch curling iron. You can save time and achieve the same effect by spraying damp hair with a dry shampoo and twisting strands into two top knots before bed. Your hair should fall into waves similar to Teigen’s in the morning. Run a texturizing cream through strands to create soft separation and texture—Giannandrea used Macadamia Professional Whipped Detailing Cream ($26; macadamiahair.com) on Chrissy. Gather all your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with an elastic. Wrap a small section of hair from the ponytail around the elastic to cover and pull a few fly-aways down on the sides for an effortless look. Giannandrea suggests keeping it relatively loose to amplify volume and texture. Remember, messy is OK.

Double Chignons
Few things are chicer (or quicker) than a chignon. Hairstylist Adir Abergel gave the classic look an update on Elizabeth Banks by doubling up on the buns. Starting with smooth strands—clean, slept-on hair is fine—create a deep side part. You can either pull the front section of the hair back with the rest, or leave it tousled and slightly curled for a flattering side bang.
Abergel smoothed back the rest of Banks’s hair before dividing it into a top and bottom section. Clipping the crown section out of the way, he twisted the nape section into a low bun, tucking the ends into the elastic and securing with pins. Then, careful not to pull the top section too tight, he created a second bun, positioning it right above the first one. To add texture and hold, he sprayed the whole look with Bumble and Bumble’s Does It All Styling Spray ($28; bumbleandbumble.com).RELATED: The Best Celebrity Buns
Slicked Back and Straight
To create Maria Menounos‘s sleek look, hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos began by blow drying her wet hair in a backwards direction. You can achieve the same look by quickly wetting just the front portion of hair in the sink and blow drying it straight back with a round brush. For hold and separation, target a texturizing spray—Giannetos favors Oribe Texturizing Spray ($42; oribe.com)—at the roots and front of the head, and blow dry the hair back again. Add gel to any loose strands, and finish with hairspray. Giannetos suggests affixing a few bobby pins behind each ear to help with hold, too.
