What Is Ciara's Fashion Week Beauty Must-Have?

There’s no question that Ciara is drop-dead gorgeous, and she proved that fact once again at the Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection runway show this week. We got in a few minutes with the star, where she spilled on her beauty must-haves for Fashion Week.

“You have to have the right highlight makeup.

I think highlighting is everything,” Ciara told InStyle. “As simple as it might sound, I think the smallest details can make a huge difference on a face. So, just make sure you have your highlighting and your contouring right, and you’re all set. I mean, during Fashion Week you just have to have fun and find the look that feels right for you.”

And as for dressing in the freezing NYC temps, but still looking stylish she had this advice: “Wear layers and layers and layers. And also more than anything just have the right piece to keep you warm, like a good jacket. Since you’re running in and out of things, the key is to go fast.”

But Fashion Week aside, Ciara was focused on the cause. “This is such an important event to be a part of,” Ciara said of Go Red, which raises awareness about women’s heart disease. “What I’ve learned that’s mind blowing is that 1 out of 3 women actually die from heart disease, and so it’s really important to be here and support this movement and raise awareness about it. I think it’s great to be able to spread the word and be a part of this whole movement.”

The singer kicked off the runway show in a stunning Safiyaa gown, which she chose for it’s ’90s vibe: “I’m wearing this incredible dress tonight.

I’m so into ‘90s fashion right now, even with my hair– we did a little crimping. This look is a total ode to ‘90s for me.” Rosie O’Donnell played host, and 0ther celebs who took to the runway included Laverne Cox, Zendaya, Alexa Ray Joel, Barbara Eden, Catt Sadler, Dascha Polanco, Fifth Harmony, Hoda Kotb, Jennette McCurdy, Kristin Cavallari, Star Jones, and more.
