This Is How Jimmy Choo Reimagines Cinderella’s Glass Slipper

Cinderella’s glass slipper is no longer just a thing of fairytales, thanks to Jimmy Choo. The iconic brand and eight other luxury shoe designers have created wearable shoes inspired by the princess’s glass slippers to celebrate the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Cinderella in March.

Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman, René Caovilla, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Stuart Weitzman, and Jerome C.

Rousseau (his sketch and shoe are pictured below) all created their own designs and interpretations.

And it gets better: Swarovski, which made the glass slipper used in the actual film under the direction of costume designer Sandy Powell, is providing the crystals featured in the designers’ shoes.

“I think every girl desires a Cinderella moment in their lives,” Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi said in a statement. “This story ignites a love affair and fascination with shoes that never dies. The power they have to transform is instilled from a young age and the fantasy remains alive forever.”

Cinderella had to get her kicks from her fairy godmother, but you will be able to order or pick up a pair at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Beverly Hills, other high-end retailers in international cities, and some of the designer’s own stores this month.

Now every woman can have her own real Cinderella moment—though we hope no one loses one of these shoes! Take a look at all nine shoe designs in our gallery.
