Today Paris Fashion Week kicked off, and InStyle’s Fashion News Director Eric Wilson and Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary just attended their first big show—Dries Van Noten. For our latest episode of Back of the Cab, the pair shared their reactions to the designer’s spring/summer 2015 collection that included plenty of color, pattern mixing, and a variety of different textures—all trademarks of the label.
“It was spectacular,” says Wilson of the lineup. Dreamy melodies mixed with sounds from nature set the mood for the show, which kept to the theme with a runway covered in faux moss. “It was just gorgeous,” Weber Cleary states. “His signature fabric mix, soft shapes, nothing too structured. I was surprised to see bare midriffs at Dries.”
“At the end, instead of marching down the runway as most shows end, the models reclined or sat down and kind of put their heads in each other’s laps,” says Weber Cleary. “And just looked like they were enjoying a wonderful spring day.”
