If you haven’t gotten on The Affair bandwagon yet, now is the time. The Showtime TV show, which just finished up its first season in December, won two of the three Golden Globes it was nominated for on Sunday night, included best performance by an actress in a television series, drama for Ruth Wilson and best television series, drama, beating out shows like Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and The Good Wife. If that’s not a ringing endorsement to binge-watch all ten episodes the next chance you get, we don’t know what is.
Still need some convincing? Without giving anything away, each episode in the first season is divided into two parts: Alison’s (played by Wilson) and Noah’s (played by Dominic West) points of view. While you may think this means you see the same story twice, the opposite is true.
Seeing the different perspectives gives viewers insight into the different ways people remember the exact same events, from where fights occurred to what people are wearing. But the plot thickens—Noah and Alison are recounting the story of their affair for a detective investigating a murder. And did we mention Joshua Jackson? Him alone (and sometimes shirtless) is enough reason in and of itself to watch the show. And when you do, we suggest snacking on lobster rolls—you’ll understand later.PHOTOS: All the Best Looks from the 2015 Golden Globes Red Carpet
