Julien’s Auctions is auctioning off a lot of Marilyn Monroe’s personal items, including love letters from DiMaggio and Miller, photographs of herself that the actress kept, cards and gifts from her friends, prescriptions and notes from her doctors, and clothing. “We are all in awe of this opportunity to offer such a rare collection and glimpse into Marilyn Monroe’s life,” says Martin Nolan, Julien’s Auction’s executive director. “You can’t help but get emotional on several levels when you have the chance to read the letters and view some of the photographs and witness Marilyn’s own attempt at correspondence.”
