Just how do Hollywood power couple and parents-of-three Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner get all of their Christmas shopping done in time?
They start early.“The secret is to go before Thanksgiving because everyone has it in their mind that you don’t shop for Christmas gifts until Thanksgiving comes, and then the stores are immediately packed,” Affleck advises. “Jen and I just did a bunch of our holiday shopping. We had a nice time—we were just at FAO Schwarz and it was pretty light.”

The actor also has doubts about whether or not shopping on Black Friday is actually worth it in the end. “I know there’s Black Friday, but I think if you get out there earlier than that, you’re okay and the savings probably aren’t even that different. There are plenty of pre-Thanskgiving sales.”
Aside from avoiding the post-turkey day crowds, Affleck also has a time-shaving strategy to share: “There are people who might get the same gift in the mail,” he jokes to InStyle. “Find something that works for multiple people, that’s the key. If you try to individually pick something for every single person, you’re going to have to do more work.” Sounds like a plan to us!
