It’s not a lob, but compared to Hailee Steinfeld’s formerly-lengthy layers, her new ’do is pretty close! Yesterday at the AFI Fest in Hollywood, Steinfeld took the red carpet in a shorter crop that hit just below her shoulders and complemented the neckline of her Monique Lhuillier gown.
To create the soft waves, the star’s hairstylist Mara Roszak applied a generous dollop of L’Oreal Curve It Elastic Curl Mousse ($5; ulta.
com) on her damp mid-lengths and ends. She then rough-dried using her strands, tousling Steinfeld’s curls to bring out her natural texture. Picking up a medium-barrel curling iron, Roszak then wound individual sections around the wand to impart extra movement, then finished with a veil of L’Oreal Paris Elnett Strong Hold Hairspray ($15; ulta.com). Though Steinfeld’s Rapunzel-esque length was her signature look, her new crop paired with her relaxed, touchable waves might just be her new trademark!PHOTOS: See More Celebrity Hair Makeovers
