Sunday was International Women’s Day, and the stars took to Instagram to show their support for bringing greater awareness to gender equality.
“Happy International Women’s Day! To all the incredible women I know and the ones I don’t—I wish you opportunity, power and joy. I wish you courage in the fight.
And I hope beyond hope that you get a nap once in awhile,” Lena Dunham captioned a ’gram of herself as the iconic Rosie the Riveter (above).Others celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively, and Lupita Nyong’o replaced their account profile photos with and posted a blank silhouette of a woman (below) in support of the Not There campaign, a part of the Clinton Foundation’s No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project, which conveys the message that women are “not there” yet in reaching gender equality. And the ladies weren’t the only ones taking up the cause: Gents Adrian Grenier and Derek Hough also shared touching posts (below) about what the day means to them. See all the Instagrams below.

We're Not There…Yet. Inequality exists at work / at home / at the doctor's office / at school – and yet these issues do not get the attention they deserve.
It's almost like we're NOT THERE at all. ✨Today is International Women's Day and I am taking part in a campaign that literally removes women from the media. ✨You too can participate. Spread the word by changing your profile on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and visit OurBodyBook.com @thebodybook for more information. #notthereyet #notthereaction #internationalwomensday @clintonfoundation
