The New Girl actress is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, producer David Pechenik, People confirms. “Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one,” Deschanel told the magazine. The couple has been together since mid-2014.

The mom-to-be will have a bit of help when it comes to handling her first pregnancy—Deschanel’s older sister, Bones actress Emily Deschanel, is also pregnant. The elder Deschanel is currently expecting her second child with her husband David Hornsby.
