Of Course Olivia Palermo Found a New Way to Tie a Scarf

Olivia Palermo seems to always be one step ahead of the fashion curve. So really, it comes as no surprise that our favorite style-setter found a more novel way than the standard double wrap-and-knot method to tie her scarf.

Over the weekend, Palermo weathered the autumn chill and took Mr. Butler out for a stroll in an oversized camel cardigan layered over a caramel brown top and what looks like black leggings that she paired with black suede thigh-high Stuart Weitzman “5050” boots.

For extra insulation, she treated her fur-accented plaid scarf like a shawl, wrapping it around both shoulders and knotting it in the center.

This isn’t the first instance of her fresh, experimental scarf-tying ways. During London Fashion Week, she took inspiration from the Burberry Prorsum fall/winter 2014 runway and left her printed chiffon Burberry scarf long and loose, belting it to secure it in place.

We have about four months of cold weather ahead of us, and we’re hoping (anticipating, really) for more Palermo-approved scarf styling techniques. In the meantime, add interest to your fall-ready looks and bundle up with a scarf, shawl-style. That’s a wrap!
