Oh, it is a happy day. Funny lady Melissa McCarthy has finally activated her Twitter account and her first tweet is just what you would expect. “Good morning, Twitter! Is this thing on? #hashtag” she wrote. An equal mix of humor and cluelessness—we love it!

McCarthy joined Twitter 2012, but only just started tweeting to promote her new film Spy and answer questions from fans with the hashtag #AskSpyMovie. (We’ve already found out her favorite drink is Scotch on the rocks.) Let’s hope this leads to a long and fruitful relationship between McCarthy and the Twittersphere.
We anticipate future tweets that feature her sense of humor and secrets about her new films, but also reveal details on her upcoming fashion line. The star announced in November that she would be launching her own clothing label this coming fall. Earlier this week, McCarthy looked sharp at the 2015 Golden Globes—where she presented a clip from St. Vincent (she stars in the film with Naomi Watts and Bill Murray)—in a menswear-inspired DIY ensemble.
