Joan Rivers’s Palatial N.Y.C. Apartment Goes on the Market for a Cool $28 Million

Joan Rivers’s beyond opulent Manhattan abode is now on the market. The gargantuan three-story, four-bedroom condominium is located in New York’s swanky Upper East Side neighborhood and it’s as over-the-top as the late comedienne was herself.

The asking price? A cool $28 million, Today reports.

The palatial penthouse pad features 23-foot ceilings, five working fireplaces, a music room, salon, and ballroom that can accommodate 125 people. Past guests at Rivers’s lavish parties include Martha Stewart and Nancy Reagan. The comedienne, who posthumously won a Grammy Award on Sunday for best spoken word album for her 2014 album Diary of a Mad Diva, previously said that her apartment is outfitted the way Marie Antoinette would have decorated it “if she’d had the money,” and we’d have to agree. From gold crown molding to ornate rugs, velvet chairs, and a lace-draped canopy bed, the apartment is fit for royalty—apt, since Rivers was a queen of comedy. See photos of the lavish interior below and head over to corcoran.com for more info.
