Happy birthday, Debbie Reynolds! The movie legend, who rings in her 83rd year today, rose to fame in the early 1950s with her breakout role in the classic film, Singin’ in the Rain, opposite Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor. Despite being known as a triple threat in the industry, the California native worked hard to perfect her acting, singing, and dancing skills–often putting in 10-hour days to hone all three.
Throughout her career, Reynolds earned countless nominations, including an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, and two Golden Globes. Most recently, Reynold’s legendary career was recognized at this year’s SAG Awards. The actress was awarded the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award, given to her by daughter and famed actress Carrie Fisher.RELATED: Our Favorite Moments from the 2015 SAG Awards
