Jared Leto Dishes on His Work Ethic in the November Issue of Fast Company

For someone who does so much, it’s hard to imagine Jared Leto turning anything down, but he does, and quite often. “I like to employ the power of no,” the actor, director, musician, and entrepreneur says in the November 2014 issue of Fast Company. “We all want to say yes, because with yes comes so much opportunity, but with the power of no comes focus and engagement.”

Leto is one of 11 members of Fast Company‘s Generation Flux Class of 2014, a group of people who are “adapting to disruption, and succeeding” in modern business. In addition to acting and fronting his band 30 Seconds to Mars, Leto has invested in some high-profile tech startups like Airbnb and Spotify, while also managing his own video streaming platform called VyRT.

With all those jobs, it’s no surprise that Leto has a pretty serious work ethic. “My work is never a job. My work is my life. If you work your f—ing ass off, you can get a lot done.” For more, read the full interview here.
