Back of the Cab: Watch Our 1-Minute Review of Jason Wu’s #NYFW Runway Show

InStyle’s Fashion News Director Eric Wilson and Senior Market Editor/Digital Correspondent Dana Avidan-Cohn are kicking off our Back of the Cab series at New York Fashion Week! After attending Jason Wu’s spring/summer 2015 show today, the pair couldn’t wait to give us their thoughts on the collection.

It has been quite a day for Wu, who not only debuted his latest line, but also sold his business to InterLuxe—a company Wilson says will “bring him to the next level and make him a major brand with his own stores and expanded product offerings.” This will enable the designer to continue to make wonderful clothes that are for everyday women as well as the celebrities that he dresses, like Diane Kruger, his latest muse.

Speaking of Kruger, today Wu introduced a Diane bag that was co-designed with the star to reflect her effortless sense of style, and perfectly complemented the stunning clothing that he sent down the runway. “It was so beautiful,” says Avidan-Cohn of the collection. “I loved the evening wear pieces at the end, those beautiful flowing gowns—the one that Karlie (Kloss) was wearing, especially, was so beautiful and I really liked those beaded dresses as well with the pastels.” “For me, it was the silk tweed that looked like denim,” Wilson states. “I thought that looked heavy, but I know up-and-close its really light and easy to wear.”
