Reese Witherspoon got into the holiday sprit during her visit to The Tonight Show on Tuesday, and not just by wearing a gorgeous red dress with lace trim. The Wild star participated in host Jimmy Fallon’s goofy game “Random Phrase Carols,” in which he—along with the help of his house band The Roots— change the lyrics of classic Christmas songs.
The catch? Fallon and his guest don’t know the new, much sillier lyrics until they start singing.

While Fallon kicked things off with a strange new twist on “Jingle Bells” (which is, apparently, now about an old man named Tom), Witherspoon (who we already know can sing thanks to her Oscar-winning turn in Walk the Line) tried to croon a toad-inspired version of “Silent Night.” (Hilariously enough, the actress accidentally started singing in the tune of “Jingle Bells.”)
