Golden Globes Red Carpet Trend Alert: Winter White

As celebrities arrived at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards, it was clear that winter white was one of the trends that was ruling the red carpet. Rosamund Pike, a first-time nominee who was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet, wore a strappy, cut-out Vera Wang gown—just shy of giving birth 5 weeks ago, how impressive?

Emily Blunt, who’s nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Into The Woods, also worked a cut-out white gown by Michael Kors. Golden Globe red-carpet-regular Julia Louis Dreyfus wore an alabaster hue as well, selecting a sleek, one-shouldered Narciso Rogriguez column.

What made these three gowns really feel like a trend was their overall Grecian vibe. Between the draping on Blunt’s gown, the one-shouldered neckline of Dreyfus’ frock, and the strappy details on Pike’s gown, all these women proved to be red carpet goddesses.
