It seems like everyone wants to join the boys’ club this season. Several runways, including Hermès, Stella McCartney, Saint Laurent, and Jason Wu, showed us how designers have reimagined the classic menswear suit in new ways. “I love that menswear is a classic and it’s something that is always going to look fresh,” says Dana Avidan-Cohn, InStyle‘s senior market editor/digital correspondent. “We’ll be able to return to [it] again and again, season after season.”
On that note, Avidan-Cohn says that the trend is a bit more fitted this season than it has been in the past. She suggests bringing the menswear elements into your look with accessories, like a brogue, slip-on slide, or heavy men’s style attaché. “All of these elements can play up menswear without being over the top,” she says.
