Last night, Karina Smirnoff and Randy Couture took to the Dancing with the Stars stage to perform their rendition of the cha-cha, set to Otis Redding’s “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” For their dance, Smirnoff paid homage to her partner’s six-year Army career with this week’s pin-up-inspired costume.
“[For the dance], I was a pin-up girl waiting on my military husband to come home from serving his country,” Smirnoff tells InStyle. Rhinestones and black lace covered the bright yellow body suit, complementing the black tassels and fringe that aligned Smirnoff’s creation. “I wanted the outfit to evoke happiness, sass, and sexiness,” she says. And we think the dancing pro succeeded!The dancing duo earned a 28 out of 40 last night, behind Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev, who led the scoreboard with a 35 out of 40.
