Score Major 2014 World Cup Style Points with These Soccer-Centric Collabs

The 2014 FIFA World Cup, aka the biggest soccer tournament on earth, kicks off June 12 in Brazil, marking its second time serving as the host country (the first was in 1950). While players and fans are gearing up for the matches ahead, designers are doing the same with newly launched limited edition collections that pay homage to Brazil’s vivacious spirit and colorful aesthetic.

From Melissa x Karl Lagerfeld’s soccer ball-adorned flats to Adidas Originals x the Farm Company’s vibrant sportswear, these summer-friendly designs make it all too easy to score major style points while rooting for your team.

“We wanted to do something that represented the flavor of the country without putting footballs or national flags onto the garments,” says Josefine Aberg, global design director of Adidas Originals, of its collaboration with the Farm Company. “The Farm Company is famous for their amazing prints. It was a nice marriage, pulling our iconic silhouettes with their prints.”

Unleash your inner soccer hooligan and get in the spirit with our winning (and still chic) futbol-centric finds. Game on!
