Anyone who watched the Academy Awards will know that that gender equality was a hot topic among the night’s nominees, but you may not have noticed that it filtered down to even their choice of accessories.
While Patricia Arquette spoke out on equal pay in her winner’s speech and Reese Witherspoon addressed the #AskBetterQuestions campaign on the red carpet, Steve Carrell pledged his support for Emma Watson’s #HeForShe initiative with his choice of cufflinks.
The Foxcatcher actor, who was nominated in the Best Actor category, secured his shirt sleeves with a pair of #HeForShe links designed by Monique Pean. And it didn’t go unnoticed by Watson, who was fast to thank him for his feminist fashion choice.

She posted a sweet handwritten letter to both her Facebook and Twitter accounts calling Carrell “awesome” and thanking him for supporting “gender equality.”
Watson also thanked American Sniper actor Jake McDorman for wearing a similar pair of cufflinks. And so our girl crush on Watson continues to grow.
