Is This the Bag for Winter? (It’s Already a Celeb Favorite!)

Ever since Stuart Vevers showed his first collection at the helm of Coach during New York Fashion Week, he’s made a point to draw on the brand’s heritage of classic Americana, but with a contemporary twist. And two seasons in, it’s clear that Vevers has already found his stride, with shoppers, celebrities, and editors clamoring for coveted “It” items, like the whimsical Apollo intarsia knit and pom-pom scarf (that made the cut in our winter accessories roundup) for starters.

Another highly favored item? The powder blue Dakotah small flap cross-body ($525; coach.com) that has charmingly bagged stars like Kate Bosworth and Emily Blunt as fans. Bosworth shouldered hers with a cozy black-and-white topper layered over a flannel top and black skinnies, complete with tan Western-inspired booties. Earlier this month, Blunt (who’s been snapped with her Dakotah two other times) had hers pop against a dark maroon knit, black destroyed skinnies, and black lace-up booties.

Unlike any standard black carryall, one washed in pastels is like a refreshing gulp of air. Copy Bosworth and Blunt and pile on the pale shades for winter, starting with the light blue Dakotah cross-body (we know we will!).
