Matthew McConaughey and wife Camilla Alves are one of the cutest celebrity couples in Hollywood (have you seen their three adorable kids?), and at last night’s Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) joint fundraising gala sponsored by Lincoln, we fell in love with them a little bit more.
Why? Sure, the twosome look great together, have an adorable family, and are so laid-back and cool we can’t help but want to grab a beer with them (cue the cuteness: the couple were arm-in-arm all evening during the gala, and Alves proudly stood by her husband as he spoke on stage to the crowd and auctioned items for the cause), but they’re also extremely giving. The duo, who started the Just Keep Livin foundation dedicated to empowering high school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices, make giving back a huge part of their relationship.

Last night, McConaughey spoke to InStyle about how he makes his marriage to Brazilian model Alves work so seamlessly. “Look, I’ll say this,” he says with an ear-to-ear grin. “Neither one of us have really tried to change the other one. We got into our relationship because we really admired and were turned on by who the other person was before we met them, before we got together. And we do not try to change each other. If anything, she pushes me to be more of myself and I hope I do the same for her.”
As for his advice on being a good father to his kids? That’s easy: “The best thing you could probably do as a father is make sure they see how you love their mother,” he says.
