Welcome to the family, Sir John! The L’Oreal Paris crew is an elite one, counting stars like Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lopez, and Eva Longoria among their famous faces, so it’s only appropriate that the brand should name the pro responsible for Beyoncé’s gorgeous makeup looks for both the Mrs. Carter and On the Run tours and her self-titled visual album its new celebrity makeup artist.
“I’m thrilled to be working with L’Oreal Paris—it’s a humbling experience,” he says. “It’s a brand I have admired for years, dating back well before my career as a makeup artist even began. I will wear my new title with pride, and aim to inspire as many women as possible.”

In addition to Queen Bey, Sir John has also worked with Joan Smalls, Chrissy Teigen, Karlie Kloss, and Liya Kebede among many others, serving up looks that have launched a thousand inspired YouTube makeup how-tos in their wake. Appropriately, the makeup artist will be involved with everything from the brand’s social media, to product development and tutorials.
Sir John started out in the industry training under Pat McGrath, and went solo in 2011 after meeting Beyoncé at Tom Ford’s spring runway show. The rest, as they say, is history. Based off of the stunning work we’ve already seen, we’re sure even more #flawless tips and tricks are on their way, and we’ll be bowing down as they roll out.
